MACC Chief Commissioner Pays Courtesy Call On Indonesian Attorney-General

KUALA LUMPUR, July 28 (Bernama) -- Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) chief commissioner Dzulkifli Ahmad Thursday led the MACC delegation in paying a courtesy call on Indonesian Attorney-General HM Prasetyo in Jakarta. “The call, which is the first paid by the MACC, is aimed at strengthening the ties between the two parties, besides proving their commitment to working together in terms of information-sharing and investigations relating to corruption and abuse of power cases deluging the two countries. “Both parties also discussed several cases of corruption and preventive measures that can be taken to fight corruption and power abuse to ensure that the crime that can cripple the social and economic growth of the two countries could be tackled in a holistic manner,” the MACC said in a statement. The MACC and the Indonesian Attorney-General also pledged to always support and help each other if needed in a bid to fight corruption and power abuse in the two countries. -- BERNAMA
