Malaysia: Bernama's Jelajah 1Jiwa Convoy Arrives In Johor
JOHOR BAHRU (Johor, Malaysia), July 14 (Bernama) - The Malaysian National News Agency, Bernama's Jelajah 1Jiwa convoy arrived in Johor (Malaysia's southern state) on Thursday after traveling for eight hours from Kuantan, Pahang (Malaysia's east coast).
The convoy of 15 high-powered motorcycles arrived at about 6.30pm at the Johor Bernama Bureau office in Jalan Serampang, Taman Pelangi, here, after starting their journey at 10am from Kuantan.
The arrival of the convoy, led by Chef de Mission Amrizan Madian was received by Johor deputy bureau chief Suhainie Mohd Khalid and the staff and it was followed by contributions presentation to the bureau staff.
In his speech, Amrizan said the convoy stopped for one hour in Endau, Mersing, for lunch, before continuing the journey to Johor Bahru.
“The expedition, in conjunction with the Bernama’s 50th anniversary, which is in its sixth day, has run smoothly from Mersing to Kota Tinggi and then to Johor Bahru.
Amrizan said the convoy will spend the night in Johor Bahru before continuing the journey to Melaka (Malaysia's southwest state) Friday morning.
“We hope for a smooth journey from Melaka to Negeri Sembilan (southwest) before completing the expedition at Wisma Bernama in Kuala Lumpur this Saturday.”
