Malaysian Communications Minister, US Envoy Discussed Cyber And Media Issues

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 15 (Bernama) -- Issues related to cyber and media are among the matters discussed between Communications and Multimedia Minister Dr Salleh Said Keruak and the United States Ambassador to Malaysia, Kamala Shirin Lakhdhir Tuesday. The US diplomat made a courtesy call on Salleh at his office in Angkasapuri, here. "We have a very good meeting. It is just a courtesy meeting and introductory meeting," Kamala told the media after the 75-minute closed door meeting. "We have met previously in a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing (event). So this is the opportunity to sit together and talk about issues under his (Salleh's) purview,” she said. Kamala (left) assumed office as her country's new ambassador to Malaysia in January this year. She replaced Joseph Yun, who left in October last year, after serving three years in Malaysia.
