Malaysians Told To Harness Benefits From TN50 Nationwide Roadshow

SHAH ALAM (Selangor, Malaysia), Mei 19 (Bernama) -- Malaysians from all walks of life have been told to harness benefits from the National Transformation 2050 (TN50) nationwide roadshow by sharing views and suggestions so that the futuristic government policy for the country could be materialised by 2050. Chief Secretary to the Government (KSN) Dr Ali Hamsa said the programme served as the right platform for the people to work with the government to develop the country. “We understand that this is a new program and there are people who probably are still not clear of what TN50 is all about...which is why we want people from all walks of life to cooperate with the government and give their views, as part of the efforts to complete the transformation (agenda). “The government, via its existing leadership, will intensify the efforts to reach out and explain to the people in order to give exposure to the matter (TN50),” he said. Ali said the views or ideas from the youngsters were vital for the government considering that this group would be the key factor for the success of TN50. “Hence, we make way for the youths and varsity students to join in the roadshows, in addition to participation from the public and private sectors, as well as government agencies and non-governmental organisations,” he said. Envisioned by Prime Minister Najib Razak, TN50 was launched on Jan 19 which served as a futuristic policy for the country's roadmap for the next 30 years after 2020. TN50 had outlined seven areas which have been identified as the aspiration of the younger generation namely values, governance, environment, education, employment, lifestyle and putting Malaysia on the global stage. -- BERNAMA
