Malaysia's Commitment In Helping Palestinians Struggle Lauded

KUALA LUMPUR, June 10 (Bernama) -- Malaysia has been lauded for its efforts in promoting the Palestinian cause towards finding a lasting solution to the protracted Israel-Palestine conflict. Palestinian Cultural Organisation Malaysia (PCOM) board of directors chairman Muslim Imran said that over the years Malaysia had always been consistent in its commitment in lending its support towards a just solution for the Palestinian people. “We can see positive development in Malaysia, for example the number of Palestinian students studying here has increased, and we can also see more engagement from Malaysia’s non-governmental organisations," he said in his welcoming remarks at PCOM's seventh annual iftar with the Palestinian community in Malaysia, here Friday. The amount of news coverage on Palestinian issues in Malaysian media was also commendable, Muslim said at the breaking-of-fast event attended by members of the Palestinian community in this country. He said at a time when many Muslim nations were in turmoil, Malaysia should not waver in championing the Palestinian struggle.
