Man Gets Life Term for Murder of Japanese Tourist in Turkey

Jerusalem, Dec. 10 (Jiji Press)--A Turkish court on Tuesday sentenced a man to life in prison for killing a Japanese female tourist and injuring another in Cappadocia, central Turkey, in September, officials of the Japanese embassy in the Turkish capital of Ankara said. When he was arrested, the man, Fatih Uyar, admitted that he attacked the two women, both students of Niigata University in central Japan, with a knife after quarreling with them.
