Mangyongdae Prize Int'l Marathon Qualifiers Held in DPRK

Pyongyang, January 31 (KCNA) -- Some days ago, the 31st Mangyongdae Prize International Marathon Qualifiers took place in Kwangbok Street of Pyongyang, the capital city of the DPRK. Men and women marathoners from the April 25 Sports Team came first in the qualifiers divided into 45 km and 30 km races. And a number of runners were qualified for the Mangyongdae Prize International Marathon. Such qualifying matches were also held in Phyongsong, Hamhung, Chongjin and other parts of the country. The Mangyongdae Prize International Marathon has been held annually in celebration of the Day of the Sun (April 15), the birthday of President Kim Il Sung, with attendance of excellent men and women runners and fans from various countries.
