MCOT, KTB jointly launch KTB-MCOT cards

BANGKOK, February 8 (TNA) - Chakraphan Yomjinda, acting president of MCOT Public Company Limited (MCOT), a largest Thai media firm, signed an agreement with Apisak Tantiwarong, president of Krung Thai Bank Public Company Limited (KTB), in Bangkok Wednesday to launch KTB-MCOT Entertainment cards which target the younger generations and provide holders with entertainment privileges in a variety of events by MCOT. Holders of the newly-launched KTB-MCOT Entertainment cards can accumulate points through their spending and redeem vouchers or donations for charitable organizations. Over 100,000 KTB-MCOT Entertainment cards, which are debit cards, are likely to be issued in the first year. Applications can be filed at KTB branches in Bangkok, KTB outlets at department stores where there are Major Cineplex theaters and KTB branches at universities nationwide. Holders will pay the entry fee of 150 baht and the annual membership fee of 250 baht each. Chakraphan said MCOT plans a wide range of infotainment events all year long, in which cardholders can meet celebrities, join local and overseas trips and attend local and overseas concerts. Initial partners in the initiative are MCOT Academy, Major Cineplex Group, Superstar Academy, KPN Music Academy, Central Marketing Group and One2One Center, a mathematics tuition school, as well as AVIS Rent a Car Thailand.
