Medical teams continue operations at rally sites

BANGKOK, December 4 (TNA) - Medical teams have remained on standby, as assigned by the Ministry of Public Health, until the domestic political situation returns to normal. Public Health Minister Dr. Pradit Sinthawanarong told reporters of the policy on Wednesday even though domestic political protests have eased. According to official figures, 285 people were injured during political standoffs in Bangok over the past four days, 19 of them have still been hospitalized. Meanwhile, Suthep Thaugsuban, secretary-general of the anti-government People’s Democratic Reform Committee, the largest anti-government group, has announced that his group will continue its political protest after nationwide celebrations of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej's birthday on December 5.(TNA)
