Meeting of Secretary of State with young people
Astana, November 11, 2009 (Khabar) - The secretary of state and the foreign minister of Kazakhstan, Kanat Saudabayev, has met with winners of prestigious republic and international contests and festivals. During the meeting he noted that the development of culture is always in the in the focus of attention of the government. The Cultural Heritage programme gave a possibility to keep many historical monuments, create new theatres, and the Academy of Music.

- The peculiarity of the strategy and activity of our head of state for all years of our independence lied in the fact that despite difficult economic conditions and restructuring of the country, Nursultan Abishevich was always paying attention to the spiritual component of the country. This is a reason why our culture and art faced with the true revival and your successes proves this idea.
But usually young talents are more famous abroad than in Kazakhstan. Kanat Saudabayev noted that it is a high time to pay attention to achievements of young Kazakhstan residents and the participants of the meeting supported this idea. The winner of the Bolashak scholarship, young violin player Amirzhan Bisengaliyev suggested the creation of a radio station of classic music. Amirzhan Bisengaliyev performed at stages of London, Paris, Italy and America.

- The president’s scholarship gave me and thousands of young Kazakhstan residents a unique opportunity to receive a good education in the best foreign universities. For all these years we both felt the interest to Kazakhstan and pride for Astana.

- We have such outstanding painters as Kanaf Kirzhanov, who was one of the founders of Kazakh painting. The watercolours of Vladimir Vlasyuk were included into the “Elite masterpieces of the world” catalogue. We would do well to learn from such people.
Birzhan Khasangaliyev, singer-composer:
- I would like to ask the government to support our young singers, who are often invited to participate in international contests and festivals. Usually, they do not have a chance to visit these contests because of financial problems. If they receive support they can represent Kazakhstan in the entire world without thinking about money.

- All of us, the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Culture, should carry out a systematic work to identify and support talented young people in centers and regions. Ministry of Industry and Trade, Ministry of Finance, national companies should examine and make proposals for the implementation of additional measures aimed at increasing interest in domestic business entities in supporting the young talents. This is just in the context of the appeal of the President to the businessmen and their social responsibility.
Additionally, ministers were asked to study the needs for specialists and scientific personnel in the area of art, the increase in a number of Bolashak scholarship holders and to pay attention to the arrangement of workshops. The media was asked to cover achievements of the young talents of Kazakhstan.
