Meeting of Zhaparov, Speaker of Legislative Chamber of Uzbek Senate Ismoilov held

Bishkek, March 12, 2021 . / Kabar /. A meeting took place between Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov and Speaker of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan Nurdinjon Ismoilov. According to the press service of the Kyrgyz president, views on topical issues of joint agenda were exchanged. Sadyr Zhaparov stressed that traditions of good neighborliness and mutual respect serve today as a solid foundation for all-round cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan. He noted the interest in expanding inter-parliamentary cooperation with Uzbekistan, and expressed hope that the 3rd Meeting of the Inter-Parliamentary Commission on Cooperation between Parliaments of the two countries and other events, postponed due to the pandemic, will be held in the near future. The Kyrgyz leader stressed that the huge potential between the two countries in the trade and economic sphere is not fully disclosed, in connection with which the Kyrgyz side expressed the readiness to work together to create favorable conditions for the access of goods and services to the markets of both countries. Speaker of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan Nurdinjon Ismoilov noted that he is pleased to meet with the Kyrgyz president and discuss topical issues of bilateral cooperation. He especially emphasized that Uzbek leader Shavkat Mirziyoyev opened new opportunities for dynamic development of inter-parliamentary relations with neighboring countries, including Kyrgyzstan. The speaker assured that the Lower House of the Uzbek Parliament would make every effort to promote the implementation of agreements reached between the countries at the highest level.
