Milan2015 Expo, Good Chance For Iran-Italy To Boost Ties : Envoy

Tehran, May 30, IRNA – Italian Ambassador to Tehran Alberto Bradanini described the Milan2015 World Expo as a historical opportunity for the Iranian and Italian nations to develop closer ties. He made the remark in Milan 2015 World Expo gathering held here Tuesday evening. He noted that despite geographical distance between the two countries, the nations share a common understanding and enjoy several cultural similarities. The ambassador further pointed out that the expo will focus on the issue of “feeding the earth” and “energy for life” because in 2015 food will be at the top of global issues. Bradanini also pointed to 900 million starving people in the world as a proof of failure of human community and said proper solutions should be worked out to overcome the problem./end
