Minister of Commerce and Acting Minister of Media Hails Contest of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Award for Holy Quran Memorization

Riyadh, Mar 19, 2022, SPA -- The Minister of Commerce and Acting Minister of Media Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qassabi has affirmed that Allah Almighty bestowed this country a wise leadership that celebrates the Holy Quran, encourages its recitation, memorization and interpretation and cares about Quranic education, in addition to instilling goodness in the hearts of our male and female students to adhere to the Qur'anic moral values and ideals. During the honoring ceremony of the winners of the local competition for King Salman bin Abdulaziz Award for Memorizing the Holy Quran, Dr. Al-Qassabi stressed that this competition is an extension of charitable deeds, and an affirmation of the original approach on which the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was founded since the era of the late founder King Abdulaziz bin Abdurrahman until this prosperous era. He further said that the care of the Holy Quran and the upbringing of generations to memorize, recite, interpret and work by it are among the best and most beneficial deeds, praising the spirit of honorable competiveness in all branches of the competition shown by the contestants, and the great development it is witnessing, praying to Allah Almighty to greatly reward the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and HRH Crown Prince all goodness for their constant support and care for the Holy Quran and the dissemination of its teachings. --SPA
