Minister of Commerce and Industry Opens Qatar International Boat Show 2020

Doha, November 17 (QNA) - Under the patronage of HE Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al-Thani, HE Minister of Commerce and Industry Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari opened the seventh edition of Qatar International Boat Show (QAWARIB 2020), at the Pearl-Qatar on Monday evening. Organized by Al Mannai Plus Events, the event will run till Friday with the participation of 32 exhibitors among mega manufacturers of yachts and small and medium boats, most of them are local manufacturers showcasing more than 150 different international brands, marine spare parts and accessories, in addition to 100% Qatari-made yachts and boats with advanced technology. In press remarks following the opening, HE the Minister of Commerce and Industry commended the keenness of local manufacturers on taking part in this year's edition, which reflects the rapid growth of the marine industries sector in the State of Qatar, mainly the small and medium ships and luxury yachts manufacturing sector. HE Minister Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari noted that Qatar International Boat Show is an important forum for establishing new investment partnerships with major international companies specialized in this field, and it contributes to encouraging investors and businessmen to invest in the marine industries sector and expand into regional and global markets. In a related context, Milaha showcases in its booth in the Show a wide range of spare parts and high-quality services related to yacht manufacturing industry and original equipment specially designed for this purpose, in addition to various boat-maintenance reliable and innovative solutions which are available across the country. By participating in this outstanding annual event, Milaha aims at contributing to positioning Qatar among the most vital and crucial regional hubs and attractive destinations for boat and yacht enthusiasts and owners, in line with Qatar National Vision 2030 objectives, mainly economic diversification, development of specialized economic activities, stimulation of economic growth and ensuring a stable and sustained business environment.
