Minister of Finance and National Economy receives the fourth intake of the FDPM Fellowship

Manama, June 23 (BNA): The Minister of Finance and National Economy (MOFNE), HE Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, today welcomed the fourth intake of the First Deputy Prime Minister’s (FDPM) Fellowship for a roundtable discussion, at Gudaibiya Palace. During the discussion, HE highlighted that the FDPM Fellowship continues to enhance the skillset and capabilities of Bahraini nationals, in line with the Kingdom’s comprehensive development, led by HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. HE highlighted that over the past four years the programme has successfully provided the necessary innovative skills and expertise needed by the national workforce to further develop the public sector. HE praised the passion and ambition demonstrated by the fellows, adding that such mindsets develop future leaders that contribute to the Kingdom’s development, in line with the vision of HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister. HE noted that the comprehensive programme further provides fellows with an understanding of the policy development processes that take place within government, which are vital to their future careers. HE then gave a brief on MOFNE’s scope of work, including the various initiatives undertaken to further enhance the Kingdom’s national economy. HE concluded by thanking the programme’s administrators, and wished the fellows success in their future careers within the public sector.
