Minister of Interior receives UK delegation

Manama, Oct. 25 (BNA): Interior Minister Lt-General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa has received Alison Saunders, CB, Director of Public Prosecution at the UK Crown Prosecution Office and her accompanying delegation, praising historic friendship ties between the two countries. Prosecution Chief Dr. Ali bin Fadhul Al Buainain, Deputy Interior Minister Lt-General Adel bin Khalifa Al Fadhil, Public Security Chief Major-General Tarqi bin Hassan Al Hassan, and UK Ambassador to Bahrain, Simon Martin, attended the meeting. The meeting comes as part of communications and exchange of viewpoints over more than two hundred years. The minister praised the current cooperation between the public prosecution in both countries, asserting the importance of mutually benefiting from expertise in this field. Alison Saunders praised expressed her appreciation of the fruitful ongoing efforts at reform in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
