Minister lauds Manama Dialogue's successful journey

Manama, Oct. 25 (BNA): Foreign Affairs Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa noted the importance of Manama Dialogue being held in the Kingdom of Bahrain, which highlights the clear policy led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. The summit aims at promoting peace and consolidating the values of coexistence and dialogue among all. It is also attended by elites and discusses important issues related to the security and stability of the Middle East due to its strategic importance. The Manama Dialogue Summit, organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in cooperation with the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS), starts tomorrow (Friday, October 26) and will continue until October 28. The minister pointed out that Manama Dialogue offers the opportunity of learning about the policies of countries and enables officials to consult and exchange views on several issues, thus enhancing mutual understanding on these issues and promoting international cooperation and collective action in confronting the threats facing the international community. He also expressed his pride in the successful journey of Manama Dialogue, which has become one of the main events that deeply looks into and seriously discusses regional issues, as well as offers solutions for these issues through officials and experts and specialists of the high-level. Manama Dialogue also develops visions that reflect a broader understanding of the region’s challenges and a greater concern for a stable and more secure future, he added. The minister commended the role of the International Institute for Strategic Studies in the organization and success of Manama Dialogue in all its sessions, and in enhancing stability and security in the region.
