MOFA undersecretary receives Swiss delegation

Manama, Feb. 9 (BNA): The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA)'s Undersecretary for International Affairs Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa today met a delegation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Swiss Federation, led by Undersecretary of State for Political Affairs, Wolfgang-Amadeus Brulhart, in the presence of Doha-based Swiss Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Etienne Thevoz. During the meeting, Shaikh Dr. Abdullah welcomed the visiting Swiss Delegation, hailing the existing relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Swiss Federation and affirming Bahrain’s keenness on developing these ties through joint meetings and bilateral consultations to reinforce cooperation ties at all levels. In his turn, Wolfgang commended the visit paid by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to the Swiss Federation in May 2016 which culminated in the conclusion of a number of Agreements and Memorandums of Understanding (MoU). He also praised the progress being witnessed by the Kingdom of Bahrain and affirmed his country’s keen desire to develop its ties with the Kingdom of Bahrain towards further cooperation for the benefit of the two friendly peoples and countries.
