MoH hosts expert orthopedic surgeon

Manama, Feb. 12 (BNA): The Ministry of Health (MoH) has hosted prominent Egyptian professor Dr. Yehia Nour El-din, MD and children's orthopedic surgeon. The doctor's visit comes as part of the ministry's commitment to implement the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa the Prime Minister, to fly in the best medical experts to treat patients locally in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Dr. Yehia Nour El-Din examined 15 cases and successfully carried out 8 surgical procedures to treat thigh bone injuries. He also lectured to 30 surgeons at the Salmaniya Medical Complex (SMC). His lecture was aimed to boost the skills and expertise of doctors and to exchange information about latest scientific breakthroughs. SMC's Chief of Orthopedics Department consultant Dr. Ali Redha Karashi praised Dr. Yehya's visit to Bahrain, commending the directives of HRH the Prime Minister regarding the hosting of medical experts from around the world to provide the best treatment for patients at home in the company of their family instead of abroad.
