More 22 celebrities to meet police in Magic Skin probe

BANGKOK, June 7 (TNA) - Two actors, DJ Put and Kan Kantathavorn met the police to explain about their “product review” advertisements for the illegal Magic Skin products while the police will summon the last group of 22 celebrities for questioning. DJ Put, Phutthichai Kasetsin and Kan Kantathavorn met Deputy national police chief Pol General Weerachai Songmetta and police investigators. They said they were contacted to review the products and personally, they believed the products were reliable because they saw Food And Drug Administration registration numbers on the labels and many celebrities had also reviewed the products. The advertisements were widely seen on the internet and billboards. They tested the products and found no side effects, so they though the products were safe and met the standard. They found out later on the new headlines that food supplements and skin care products under the Magic Skin were illegal. Meanwhile, the police will summon more 22 celebrities and net idols to give information about their product review for the Magic Skin brand from June 14-16. Those celebrities include actor Patchara “Peach” Chirathivat, actress Warattaya “Jui” Nilkuha, singer Tom Room 39, singer Baitoey, and Chalita Suansane, Miss Universe Thailand 2016. This group will be the last group to be summoned in the case. So far, 59 celebrities were summoned to meet the police and 27 persons have already met the police to testify. The police have not yet pressed any charges against them as they are gathering evidence to wrap up the case. Deputy Police Chief will give more information later about wrongdoers when the investigation is completed. (TNA)
