More than 30 die, scores injured in blast in China's western region -- Xinhua

BEIJING, May 22 (Itar-Tass) - More than 30 people died and about 100 were injured in a blast in the administrative centre of the Xinjiang region in western China -- the city of Urumqi, Xinhua reported. The blast took place at a market near a park at 07:50 local time (03:50 Moscow time). Two cars struck a crowd of people. One of the cars exploded, and a bomb was thrown out from the other, witnesses said. The news agency reported 31 people were killed and more than 90 were injured.
