More than 9,000 employees apply for voluntary retirement

Manama, (BNA): More than 9 thousand public sector employees have applied for voluntary retirement as part last Thursday (November10). Civil Service Bureau (CSB) Chairman Ahmed bin Zayed Al-Zayed announced the number of employees who applied for voluntary retirement, which represents one of the six initiatives of the Fiscal Balance Programme. Eligible employees whose applications have been accepted will be announced during the second and third week of December 2018. “The applications which are under study will be referred to the government parties during this week for final approval”, he said, adding the end of the deadline to submit applications. The voluntary retirement programme benefits public employees, under the authority of the Civil Service Bureau (CSB), having ten years of effective service.
