More economic growth to come into view

Manama, Feb. 27 (BNA): In a statement to Bahrain News Agency (BNA) on the sidelines of the Gulf Economic Forum 2019 concluded today, Minister of Finance and National Economy, Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, stressed promoting initiatives to benefit the homeland and citizen, saying Bahrain is about to witness a new stage of economic growth to strengthen its financial standing. In response to a BNA’s question about the Voluntary Retirement Programme, the minister said that the programme, which was launched in the fourth quarter of last year, has made a great success, because it provides the government employees with the opportunity to participate in the growth of the private sector. He explained the private sector has always created job opportunities and that it is responsible for creating more than 60% of job opportunities to citizens, noting that one of the goals of economic development is to create jobs with the participation of the private sector.
