Moroccan Ambassador takes pride in rejoining African Union

07 : 54 PM - 02/02/2017 Manama, Feb. 2 (BNA): Moroccan Ambassador to Bahrain, Ahmed Rashid Khutabi, took pride in Morocco's victorious return to the African Union and the African welcome to HM King Mohammed VI of Morocco. In a statement issued today by Bahraini "Al-Ayyam" newspaper, the Moroccan Ambassador pointed out the deep-rooted Moroccan-African relations and the late King Mohammed V's efforts in strengthening the aforementioned relations. He stressed that Morocco will always work toward building the new independent Africa to achieve progress, stability, peace and sustainable development. He noted the Moroccan King's efforts in strengthening the mutual bonding with Africa and establishing solid and ambitious partnerships, as came in his keynote speech before the 28th African Summit. He elaborated that Morocco has signed approximately 1000 agreements in various areas with Africa since 2000, stressing Moroccan King's keenness on promoting relations and partnerships with African countries. He noted the royal directives on Morocco's migrants settlement process that has dealt with more than 25 thousand persons in its first phase, while the second one, recently launched, targets integrating and providing them with a decent standard of living.
