NAO's professionalism to be strengthened

Manama, May 28 (BNA): President of the National Audit Office (NAO), Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, received here today former NAO President, Hassan bin Khalifa Al-Jalahma. Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed commended the efforts exerted by Hassan bin Khalifa Al-Jalahma throughout his tenure as NAO president, which, he said, strengthened NAO’s role and professionalism. Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa also held a meeting with NAO’s senior staff, in the presence of former NAO president. He asserted his keenness to consolidate NAO’s independence and professionalism so as to carry on its efforts to achieve its mission and role of undertaking audit of public money, and verifying the soundness and legality of using public funds and their proper management. The aim is to achieve more progress and prosperity to the kingdom, in line with the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier, NAO President said. Hassan Al-Jalahma wished Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa every success in carrying out his duties as NAO President.
