Nasser bin Hamad: BIDEC 2017 key military platform

Manama, Oct. 19 (BNA): Bahrain will host the largest international defence exhibition and conference in 2017. The First Bahrain International Defence Exhibition and Conference (BIDEC) was announced amid security challenges which are emerging from Arab, regional and international developments. “The current Arab, regional and international volatile situation and critical political challenges were the main factors underpinning the organization of the first edition”, said Royal Guard Commander, BIDEC High Organizing Committee Chairman His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa. In an exclusive statement to Bahrain News Agency (BNA), he stressed the crucial importance of the event which will be attended by high-level delegations representing countries, military coalitions and key partners. He described BIDEC 2017 as a key platform for military experts to exchange ideas and scrutinize latest security developments, reflecting strategic, political and diplomatic visions. Speaking on the sidelines of a press conference announcing BIDEC2017, he underscored the importance of concerted efforts, joint cooperation between key partners and building military alliances. In the statement, he affirmed the drive of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) to diversify the sources of armament from different countries in the world.
