National Exhibition of Sci-Tech Successes in Energy Field Opens

Pyongyang, August 21 (KCNA) -- A national exhibition of sci-tech successes in the field of energy was opened under the sponsorship of the Central Committee of the General Federation of Science and Technology of Korea. The exhibition aims at widely disseminating and generalizing the sci-tech achievements made by 90-odd scientific and educational institutions and production units, including Kim Il Sung University, the State Academy of Sciences and the Ministry of Electric Power Industry, in recent years. The exhibition is divided into panels of hydro- and thermal-power, natural energy, electricity management and energy saving, with successes and products on display in forms of object, chart, etc. It also includes presentation of sci-tech successes and exchange of technologies. Its opening-ceremony was held at the Sci-Tech Complex on Tuesday. The exhibition will last till Aug. 23. -0-
