National Folk Music Contest in Field of Popular Art Held

Hamhung, September 5 (KCNA) -- The national folk music contest in the field of popular art was held. The contest brought together art circle members of institutions, industrial establishments and co-op farms who proved successful at provincial, city and county contests. The participants in the contest displayed their artistic skills which they have acquired through the mass-based art and cultural activities. A performance was given at Hamhung Grand Theatre from September 1 to 3 by those participated in the national contest. Put on the stage were colorful numbers including chorus "With a Single Heart", female solo and pangchang "Arirang for Chol Pass" and national instrumental ensemble "Ballad of Mt Singo". -0-
