National Guard Commander receives Pakistani Senate Chairman

Manama, Feb. 20 (BNA): National Guard Commander, General Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa, received at the Sakhir Camp, Chairman of the Pakistani Senate, Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani, and his accompanying delegation. Shura Council members, Adel Abdulrahman Al-Maawda, and the Pakistani Ambassador to Bahrain, Afzaal Mahmood, were present. The National Guard Commander welcomed Pakistan’s Senate Chairman, who is visiting the kingdom at the invitation of Bahrain’s Shura Council Chairman. He stressed that the Bahraini-Pakistani relations are progressing steadily at all levels. Pakistani Senate Chairman commended the efforts being exerted by the kingdom to strengthen relations with his country. He also lauded the efforts of the National Guard to bolster cooperation and exchange of expertise with Pakistan’s army and military institutions, which, he said, has contributed to enhancing the military capabilities of both sides to face challenges to the two countries’ security and stability. The two sides also discussed issues of mutual interest.
