National Guard implements Vital Maritime Installations Protection Drill

Manama, Sept. 18 (BNA): The Coast Protection Brigade at the National Guard’s Special Operations Unit has implemented the Vital Maritime Installations Protection Drill today spanning 24 hours. This drill comes upon the directive of His Highness Lt-General Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa, President of the National Guard, as part of the detailed duties undertaken by the Special Operations Unit commanded by His Highness Major Shaikh Salman bin Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa, in the protection of installations, safeguarding lives and properties, through quality drills and training involving the Special Operations officers and personnel. His Highness the President of the National Guard affirmed the important key role involving the National Guard’s safeguarding the civic peace and security, preserving the national civilisational accomplishments and developmental renaissance, pointing out that the National Guard marches steadily and surely  in its strides to develop the entire systems matching with all the latest developments to achieve highest efficiency levels in the performance of the national duties. In turn, HH Major Shaikh Salman bin Mohammed bin Isa al Khalifa the Commander of the Special Operations Unit at the National Guard, pointed out the responsibilities of the unit including the provision of highest level of security and protection by taking all the essential security measures to protect the vital installations from any possible threat  or unexpected risk likely to prevent any damage or failure in their workflow. He affirmed that the Special Operations Unit receives the great support from His Highness Lt-General Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa the President of the National Guard, and the attention and care of Major-General Shaikh Abdulaziz bin Saud Al Khalifa the Director of Staff of the National Guard, to develop its personnel commensurate with its pivotal role in the National Guard.
