National Guard strategic plan progress reviewed

Manama, Feb. 21 (BNA): The Director of Staff of the National Guard, Major-General Shaikh Abdulaziz bin Saud Al Khalifa, presided over the National Guard Presidency Council meeting which reviewed the National Guard’s 2020 Strategic Plan progress. The council discussed the ongoing efforts to boost National Guard units’ readiness in addition to leadership training and qualification plans through specialised sessions to ensure the accomplishment of training objectives and efficient implementation of the duties assigned to the National Guard. The director was briefed by the units’ commanders and heads of sections about the progress in training programmes as well as administrative and technical supplies as part of developmental plans of the units and administrative sections thanks to the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa the Supreme Commander, and in accordance with the directives of His Highness General Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa, President of the National Guard. The council also discussed sundry items during its meeting, including development of programmes and units performance as per the timetable of the Strategic Plan 2020 initiated by His Highness President of the National Guard, to boost the National Guard’s combat, administrative and technical preparedness and efficiency in the various relevant military fields.
