ABU DHABI, 3rd August, 2017 (WAM) -- A high-profile delegation from the Kingdom of Bahrain’s Ministry of Information Affairs visited the National Media Council’s, NMC, headquarters in Abu Dhabi on Monday.
The delegation, headed by the Bahraini Ministry’s Information Affairs Under-Secretary, Abdul Rahman Mohammed Bahr, was greeted by NMC Director-General, Mansour Al Mansouri. The visit reflects the strong bonds between the two Gulf states and brings together influential media-sector decision makers from both countries to explore opportunities to cooperate and exchange ideas and insight, working to empower the media industry, remain on top of emerging trends and study the media’s potential to raise awareness in society and encourage people to participate in sustainable development.
Mr. Al Mansouri highlighted to his Bahraini counterpart how the NMC offers its support to all media institutions and government bodies in the UAE, and works to reflect the Emirates' experiences around the world. The visiting delegation was also briefed about the National Media Council’s role in developing a national strategy to promote the media sector in the UAE, reflecting the best possible image of the country and maintain its distinguished status.
