National Records Set at Indoor Athletic Championship in DPRK

Pyongyang, September 3 (KCNA) -- An indoor athletic championship took place at the Athletics Gymnasium in Chongchun Street, Pyongyang, some days ago. New national records were set at the championship. An athlete from the Amnokgang Sports Team renewed the previous record in men's 60m sprint. An athlete from the April 25 Sports Team set new records in men's 1 500m and 3 000m races. Women athletes of the April 25 Sports Team set a new record in women's 4×400m relay by breaking the previous record established 12 years ago. The April 25 Sports Team got eight out of 16 gold medals at the championship by winning in men's and women's 1 500m and 3 000m races and 4×200m relays, men's 800m race and women's 4×400m relay. -0-
