National security, stability pre-requisite for growth

Manama, Dec. 13 (BNA): Information Minister Ali bin Mohammed Al Romaihi, the Board of Trustees Chairman of Bahrain Institute for Political Development (BIPD), praised the dedicated national efforts of the public security forces and police officers in maintaining national security and stability, being a pre-requisite for sustainable economic and social development. He extended heartfelt congratulations to Interior Minister Lieutenant General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa and all the Interior Ministry personnel on the Police Day which is observed on December 14 in conjunction with the kingdom's celebrations of the national days. The Information Minister hailed the Interior Ministry's commitment to imposing the rule of the law, ensuring public safety, serving the community, protecting economic and electronic security and fighting crimes. He also lauded the ministry's sacrifices in confronting acts of violence and sabotage, thwarting terrorist plots, facing extremist organisations and protecting national security in coordination with Bahrain Defence Force.
