NBR successfully migrated Core systems to AWS Bahrain region

Manama, July 6 (BNA): The National Bureau for Revenue (NBR) announced that it has successfully migrated its core systems from AWS Ireland to Bahrain region. In line with Information & eGoverment Authority (iGA) instructions, the NBR has completed the migration according to an aggressive project timeline. The NBR’s Chief Executive Rana Ebrahim Faqihi expressed pride on this remarkable accomplishment and noted that the commitment and dedication of the team at NBR played a central role in the completion of the migration. The migration allows NBR to be more agile, improve performance by 85%, tighten security, and provide better customer experience. While on a financial scale, the operating expenses decreased by 50%. The migration was done by highly trained NBR team members in cooperation with AWS ProServ, iGA, and Invenio.
