Nearly 200 young street racers arrested

SAMUT SAKHON, June 18 (TNA) - The police arrested 190 illegal motorcycle street racers during last night’s crackdown in Samut Sakhon province. Provincial governor, Prapat Malakarn said 110 motorcycles were also seized during the operation launched around 10.30 p.m. The officers from five local police stations spent about an hour before they managed to round up 190 street racers. Out of this number, 36 street racers are under 18 years old and their parents were also summoned to acknowledge charges. The police also checked if these young motorcycle racers owned the vehicles or modified them legally. They will face more penalties if found guilty of breaking the law. (TNA)
