New Directors of San Sebastian hosts Iran’s “Parviz”

TEHRAN,Sept.23(MNA) -- The Iranian film “Parviz” will be screened at the 60th edition of the San Sebastian International Film Festival, which opened in the Spanish city on Friday. Directed by Majid Barzegar, the movie is competing in the New Directors section, one of the strongest sidelines of the festival, which runs until September 29. The movie is about Parviz, a man in his fifties who has lived his entire life in his father’s home and has never held a job. His quiet routine suddenly comes apart when his father decides to remarry and tells him to move out. In the current competitive context of international festivals, San Sebastian which, despite having one of the lowest budgets, has established itself as the most important in Spain and the Spanish speaking countries.
