New-look BJA board holds first meeting

Manama, Nov. 5(BNA): The new-look Bahrain Journalists Association (BJA) board held its first meeting. BJA Chairman Mo’anes Mahmoud Al-Mardi chaired the session and welcomed the members, extending thanks to their outgoing predecessors. Rashid Nabil Al-Hamer takes over as BJA Vice Chairman and Treasurer while Ammar Ahmed Al-Bannai will serve as secretary-general. The BJA Organisations, International Relations and Women Committee goes to Ahdeya Al-Sayyed while Mekki Al-Sitri has been tasked to chair the Conferences Committee. Zahraa Habib, Mohammed Bouida, Ali Majid and Salsabeel Walid will take over respectively as chairpersons of the Liberties Committee, Training Committee, Membership and Events Committee and the Media Committee.
