New media milestones hailed

Manama, Nov. 8 (BNA): The Bahrain Journalists Association (BJA) has today congratulated the Ministry of Information on the launch of a string of projects to develop the Bahrain TV and the News Centre, in addition to the opening of the National Communication Centre (NCC) headquarters. In a statement today, the association hailed the new history-laden Bahrain TV logo, adding that the shift would herald a quantum leap forward and change the systematic image. The statement stressed the crucial role of Bahrain TV as the main source of news and information, wishing the ministry's staff success in implementing the projects. BJA Training Committee Chairman Mohammed Bou'ida hailed the minister's keenness on honing the skills of young Bahraini talents and engaging them in the media sector. Liberties Committee Zahra'a Habib stressed the importance of the National Communication Centre which, she said, will play an instrumental role in debunking false media reports which seek to belittle landmark economic and political achievements in the prosperous era of the wise leadership.
