New Oil-bearing Crops Bred in DPRK

Pyongyang, August 21 (KCNA) -- A research group of the Academy of Agricultural Science in the DPRK has bred new species of oil-bearing crops. They include "Black chufa Nos. 3 and 4", "Autumn rape No. 1", "Spring rape No. 10", "Oil flax Nos. 7 and 9", "Perilla No. 19", "Sesame No. 6" and "Peanut No. 17". They are recognized as the profitable crops for their high productivity and nutritive and medical effectiveness. -0-
