Newspapers Highlight Bilateral Cooperation, Strategic Partnership Between Qatar and Armenia
Doha, June 14 (QNA) - In their Tuesday editorials, the newspapers unanimously agreed on the strength of the relations between the State of Qatar and the friendly Republic of Armenia, which are based on mutual respect and keenness to advance relations to broader horizons.
The papers noted, in this context, HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani's meeting with HE Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan and the accompanying delegation. During the meeting, they reviewed bilateral relations between the two countries and ways of developing and strengthening them in various fields, in addition to discussing regional and international issues of common interest.
The newspapers pointed out that the State of Qatar continues to be open at the regional and international levels through opening areas of cooperation with a number of countries and promoting joint action between countries.
In its editorial, Al-Raya newspaper said that there is a common desire between Doha and Yerevan to enhance security and stability in the region through dialogue and permanent and continuous consultation on common regional and international issues by coming up with common visions that push bilateral and international action towards more effectiveness and activity.
The newspaper noted the meeting of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and HE Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, and the accompanying delegation, on the occasion of his visit to the country. The two sides reviewed the relations of cooperation between the two countries and the prospects for their development and discussed the most prominent regional and international developments of common interest.
HE Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia's visit to Doha witnessed an official talks session with HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al-Thani where they reviewed bilateral relations and way to enhance them in different fields, particularly economic, commerce, health, education, and food security sectors. It also dealt with the latest regional and international issues of joint interest, the paper added.
Al-Raya stated that the talks session resulted in the signing of a number of bilateral agreements and MoU in different fields. This included the signing of a MoU on establishing political talks on issues of joint interest, another MoU on news exchange between Armenian News Agency and Qatar News Agency (QNA), and a twinning agreement between the Doha Municipality and that of the city of Yerevan, a joint cooperation agreement in the health field, another cooperation agreement in education and higher education, a MoU in the tourism and business events field, and a cooperation agreement between Qatar University and Yerevan State University.
In conclusion, the newspaper said in its editorial that the State of Qatar and the Republic of Armenia are seeking to raise the level of bilateral relations between the two countries, especially in the economic and commercial fields to achieve more joint cooperation. The visit of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia will increase the opportunity for support in various fields. Qatar always diversify and enrich its relations with the countries, especially in Central Asia, which are considered a strategic depth.
In its Tuesday editorial, Al-Sharq newspaper said that the State of Qatar continues its openness at regional and international levels through enabling cooperation with a number of countries around the world, adding that Doha is keen to enhance joint action among countries in a number of areas of cooperation.
The newspaper highlighted the meeting between HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and HE Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, and the accompanying delegation. Bilateral relations between the two countries and ways of developing and strengthening them in various fields were reviewed during the meeting, Al-Sharq added.

Al-Sharq said that the State of Qatar and Armenia are linked through a set of previous agreements and MoU, in addition to mutual high-level official visits for rapprochement, discussion and exchange of views to develop a long-term strategy for cooperation and bilateral action.
The newspaper concluded its editorial by saying that the State of Qatar is keen to establish solid international relations and diversify its partners within the framework of sharing common interests and establishing peace and sustainable development.

During the meeting, they reviewed bilateral relations between the two countries and ways of developing and strengthening them in various fields, in addition to discussing regional and international issues of common interest.
