Newspapers: Qatar is Capital of World Peace, Platform for Regional, Global Security Dialogue

Doha, June 29 (QNA) - In their Wednesday's editorials, Qatari newspapers said that the diplomatic move witnessed by the State of Qatar makes it a capital of world peace and a platform of dialogue for regional and global security, as the country is hosting a new round of talks between Washington and Tehran on the Iranian nuclear file. The newspapers stressed that Qatar believes that the path of dialogue and negotiations is the only way to find a just solution to crises that satisfies all parties without exerting any pressure on any of them. Al-Raya daily noted Qatar's welcome to host a round of indirect talks between the United States and the Islamic Republic of Iran, under the auspices of the European Union Coordinator, referring to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' statement in which it affirmed the State of Qatar's full readiness to provide an atmosphere that would help all parties make the talks a success, and expressed Qatar's hope that the round of indirect talks would culminate in positive results that would contribute to reviving the nuclear agreement signed in 2015, supporting and enhancing security, stability and peace in the region and opening new horizons for broader regional cooperation and dialogue with the Islamic Republic of Iran. The paper said that the State of Qatar, which carries a message of love and peace to the whole world, pursues dialogue and diplomacy as the only means to solve crises, as every crisis can be resolved by mediation and negotiation that brings the conflicting parties to the table. Based on its good relations with Washington and Tehran, Qatar volunteered - under the auspices of European Union - to host the US-Iranian talks session, which is in the interest of the main negotiating process in Vienna, in order to revive the nuclear deal with Iran. The daily considered that the Doha talks mainly aim to break the deadlock and spread a spirit of positivity to all parties in order to build on it in the Vienna negotiations, and stressed that the State of Qatar's hosting of the talks between Washington and Tehran, with the approval of all parties, is evidence of everyone's confidence in the integrity and sincerity of Qatar's mediation and its endeavors to establish security, stability and peace in the world. Al-Raya concluded by emphasizing that the Qatari diplomacy, which is characterized by integrity, has made Doha a destination for those looking for security and stability in the world, noting that over the years, Doha has hosted rounds of negotiations between conflicting parties in various files, without exerting any pressure on them. In turn, Al-Sharq newspaper said in its editorial that after months of faltering Vienna talks between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the West as part of efforts to revive the nuclear agreement signed in 2015, hopes have returned once again to the possibility of continuing dialogue to address the points of contention between Washington and Tehran, after the State of Qatar announced that it will host a round of indirect talks between the United States and the Islamic Republic of Iran in Doha this week, under the auspices of the European Union Coordinator. The State of Qatar's diplomatic efforts led by HH Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani through His Highness' recent tour that included Iran and a number of European countries, including Germany, UK, and France, and his contacts with leaders concerned with this file succeeded in paving the way for this big step by pushing the two parties to resume communication and dialogue again, the paper said. In a statement on Tuesday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed the State of Qatar's full readiness to provide an atmosphere that would help all parties make the dialogue a success, and expressed Qatar's hope that the round of indirect talks would culminate in positive results that would contribute to reviving the nuclear agreement signed in 2015 to support and enhance security, stability, and peace in the region and open new horizons for broader regional cooperation and dialogue with the Islamic Republic of Iran, the paper pointed out.
