NHRA chief participates in Bahrain-South Korea medical partnership forum

Manama, July 7 (BNA): Chief Executive Officer of the National Health Regulatory Authority (NHRA), Dr. Mariam Adhbi Al-Jalahma, today participated in the medical partnership forum 2021 between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Republic of Korea.
Held via videoconferencing, the forum was organised by the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Bahrain, in cooperation with Bahrain’s Health Ministry, the Bahrain Businessmen's Association, and the Korea Health Industry Development Institute (KHIDI).
Dr. Al-Jalahma extended sincere thanks and appreciation to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for their unlimited support for the health sector in the kingdom, and consolidation of its leadership and distinction.
She highlighted the importance of the forum in extending the bridges of communication between the two friendly countries in the health sector in order to explore the available investment opportunities and enhance the steadily-growing constructive bilateral cooperation at the official and private levels, in conjunction with the initiatives to develop the health sector in the kingdom, in light of the efforts to implement the National Health Insurance Scheme (Sehati).
She also reviewed the NHRA’s role in overseeing and regulating the health sector in Bahrain, and highlighted the health investment opportunities offered by the kingdom.
Dr. Mariam Adhbi Al-Jalahma affirmed the NHRA’s keenness to attract health investments in order to enhance Bahrain’s competitive potentials on the health services map, noting that the NHRA provides all kinds of support and facilities for investors in the health sector.
She highlighted the opportunities provided by the health sector, noting that statistics show a growth in health services despite the spread of the novel Coronavirus pandemic.
