NIHR Board of Commissioners holds meeting

Manama, Jul 5 (BNA): The National Institution of Human Rights (NIHR) Board of Commissioners held its second meeting its headquarters. Chaired by NIHR President Maria Khoury, the panel congratulated the new members ho were designated by a royal order issue by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa. She stressed HIHR resolve to continue dedicated efforts to foster the culture of and values of human rights in the Kingdom of Bahrain, adding that the members will continue working as one team. Dr. Malallah Al-Hammadi joined NIHR Rights and Public Liberties Committee. Meanwhile, Dr. Fawziya Al-Saleh and Ammar Al-Bannai were included in the NIHR Committee in charged of people with restricted freedom. The members underscored the importance of stepping up the drive to promote human rights in Bahrain further, stressed the need to engage all national efforts to preserve landmark achievements.
