NIHR-EU Delegation discuss cooperation

Manama, July 17 (BNA): Chairman of the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR), Ali Ahmed Al-Derazi, today received the Political Officer at the European Union (EU) Delegation to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Sultanate of Oman, Angelos Lenos. Al-Derazi reviewed the NIHR’s work method during the coming period, stressing the importance of continuous cooperation and coordination between the two sides in the fields related to human rights. The two sides also discussed issues of mutual interest, and the role of the NIHR in dealing with them. Angelos Lenos congratulated Al-Derazi on his election as Chairman of the NIHR, wishing him and all the members of the Council of Commissioners every success in carrying out their duties. He also appreciated the efforts being exerted by the NIHR to support and consolidate human rights protection in the kingdom.
