NIHR participates in APF annual meeting

Manama, Sept. 22 (BNA): The National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR) has participated in the 26th annual virtual meeting of the Asia Pacific Forum (APF) of national human rights institutions. The meeting elected a candidate to head the Global Alliance of National Human Rights Institutions (GANHRI) concerned with the promotion and protection of human rights and a vice president to the forum. The APF, in cooperation with the United Nations Working Group on Discrimination against Women and Girls in Asia and the Pacific, launched a report on "Women and Girls Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights in Times of Crisis". National institutions’ representatives spoke about the report in details.
