NIHR pays tribute to late servicemen

Manama, Dec. 17 (BNA): The National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR) has expressed deep pride in the fallen servicemen who sacrificed their lives while defending the nation and its dignity, stressing that they set the best examples of bravery and valor for the sake of strengthening the pillars of security and peace across the kingdom.
In a statement marking the Commemoration Day, observed in Bahrain every December 17 as per an order from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the NIHR affirmed that the nation will not forget the sacrifices of its citizens who lost their lives while defending the kingdom.
The Commemoration Day reflects the distinguished position enjoyed by the fallen servicemen in the hearts of the kingdom’s leaders and citizens, stressing that it is an opportunity to commemorate the victories and heroism of the late Bahraini servicemen who sacrificed their lives while defending that the Bahrain and the Arab Nation.
The NIHR praised HM the King’s initiative to allocate the December 17 as a day to commemorate the sacrifices of Bahrain’s fallen servicemen, which, the statement said, embodies the leadership’s pride in their patriotism and appreciation of the sacrifices they have made for the sake of the kingdom’s glory and dignity.
The NIHR extended warmest condolences to the fallen servicemen’s families and relatives, stressing that Bahrain’s leadership and people will never forget the sacrifices of its late servicemen.
NIHR prayed to Allah the Almighty to rest the souls of the fallen servicemen in eternal peace, and to bless their relatives with patience and fortitude.
