NIHR President receives US embassy Head of Political and Economic Affairs

Manama, Sept. 13 (BNA): President of the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR), Ali Ahmed Al Derazi, has underscored the role of NIHR in protecting human rights and raising awareness of them. He was speaking as he received today Head of the Political and Economic Affairs at the US embassy in the Kingdom of Bahrain, Elizabeth Hattingh. He reviewed with her a number of issues related to the human rights field and the role of the institution in dealing with them. The US diplomat expressed thanks for the good welcome, stressing the importance of NIHR in protecting and promoting human rights in the Kingdom of Bahrain. She wished the kingdom and its people more growth and prosperity.
