NIHR receives Australian Non-resident Deputy Consul to Bahrain

Manama, July 22 (BNA): Deputy President of the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR) Khalid Abdulaziz Al Shaer received Australian Deputy Consul to Bahrain, residing in Riyadh, Nicholas Bay. The meeting was attended by Resources and Services Director Fahad Abdullah Al Mealla. Al Shaer welcomed the Deputy Consul and briefed him on NIHR’s role in protecting human rights, stressing Bahrain’s advanced level in this field thanks to the care and support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. Discussions also focused on the need to boost cooperation between both sides to build capabilities through providing training programmes and support to NIHR. The Australian Deputy Consul thanked NIHR Deputy President for the good welcome, stressing the importance of boosting joint cooperation in the field of protecting human rights in Bahrain.
