NIHR secretary-general receives Austrian ambassador

Manama, Mar. 4 (BNA): Secretary-General of the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR), Dr. Khalifa bin Ali Al Fadhel, met the Austrian Ambassador to Bahrain, Dr. Sigurd Pacher. Dr. Al-Fadhel lauded the strength of the outstanding Bahraini-Austrian relations, which, he said, are supported by joint cooperation in various fields. He reviewed a number of human rights issues, as well s the role of the NIHR in dealing with them, in accordance with its terms of reference, stressing the need to further bolster joint cooperation and exchange expertise in the human rights fields to achieve common goals. The Austrian Ambassador praised the key role played by the NIHR in the human rights field, and its efforts to assume its social responsibilities in a distinguished way.
